Notice

1. Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card is required to be re-issued each time a new passport is issued up to the age of 20 years;

2. Re-issuance of the OCI card is not mandatory each time a new passport is issued between 21 and 50 years of age. However, if the applicant wishes to obtain a new OCI card, he/she can apply for the same;

3. OCI card is required to be re-issued once on completion of 50 years of age.

Note: OCI Cardholders travelling to India will be permitted to enter/exit India on the strength of OCI card even if it contains the old passport number of the card holder, provided that they carry the old passport against which the OCI was issued, and the subsequent passports including the current valid passport.
