Medical Assistance from India to Kenya to strengthen preparedness for Ebola Virus disease (22 July 2026)

The first tranche of 4.5 tonnes of medical supplies for strengthening Kenya’s preparedness for prevention of Ebola public health emergency was handed over by High Commissioner to Cabinet Secretary for Health Hon’ble Aden Duale on 22 July 2026. The medical assistance comprises PPE kits, sample transportation kits, infrared thermometers, face shields, heavy-duty protective boots and other infection-prevention materials. The second consignment of medical assistance is expected to be delivered soon.

Government of India has, in recent months, provided over 45 tonnes of medical assistance to Africa CDC for enhancing its Ebola preparedness and response efforts across impacted areas in Africa.
