Government of India has launched 'Indian Visa Su-Swagatam' Mobile App (Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.nic.ivfrt.visitindia&pcampaignid=web_share ) to facilitate foreigners to apply for an Indian visa (Regular, e-Visa & Visa on Arrival) while in home country and access various e-FRRO Services after they arrive in India. The Mobile App also provides useful information on tourist destinations, government agencies and other amenities within India. Salient features of the Mobile App are as mentioned below.

 

The facility has now been extended to all 195 countries including the Republic of Kenya and the Republic of Somalia. Moreover, a new relevant service for OCI card holders for registration in Fast Track Immigration-Trusted Travelers Programme (FTI-TTP) for faster, smoother and secure immigration clearance has also been onboarded on the App. In addition, foreigners can now avail 10 frequently used FRRO services out of 27 total FRRO Services on this App, while in India.

 

This app has the following features:

• Online Visa Application

• e-Visa- Visitors may avail Indian e-Visa through online application.

• Regular Visa (From Indian Mission/Consulate)- Visitors may fill regular Indian Visa for and submit in concerned Indian Mission/Consulate.

• Visa on Arrival – Nationals of (Japan, South Korea, UAE) may fill online visa form prior to landing on designated Indian ports.

• Visa & FRRO Status- Visitors may check status of their online Visa application & FRRO services

• Fast Track Immigration - Trusted Travelers Programme (FTI-TTP_ for OCI Card holders.

• Download e-Visa ETA- e-Visa applicants may download Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).

• Chatbot facility - An interactive support system would facilitate Visitors in addressing their Visa related queries.

• Language assistance- text and audio available

• Alert to foreigners on expiry of visa

• Language and Signage Translation – Visitors may be facilitated with the language and signage translation (English and Hindi to other foreign language and vice versa).

• Location based services ( Nearby places- Tourist Places, Govt Agencies, Transport Services, Entertainment, Health services, Religious places, food, Lodging and Shopping etc).
