High Commission organized the 62nd Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Day celebrations in Nairobi on 15 September 2026, with Cabinet Secretary for Public Service Hon. Geoffrey Ruku as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by Prof. Nura Mohamed, Director General, Kenya School of Government; Major General Peter Limo, Assistant Chief of Defence Forces; senior Government officials and ITEC alumni in Kenya. ITEC alumni from multiple walks of life shared their experiences of training in India and the impact of the programmes on their professional work. The evening also featured vibrant Indian and Kenyan cultural performances celebrating the enduring bonds of friendship and knowledge sharing between India and Kenya.

Over 3000 Kenyan nationals have benefited from the ITEC programme in the last one decade. Currently, around 400 training slots are being offered to Kenyan nationals every year.
